Juicing for diabetics can be very helpful in controlling blood sugar.
Fresh vegetable juice is loaded with antioxidants, phytochemicals and hopefully trace minerals. Vegetable juice is beneficial for normalizing blood sugar, plus fresh vegetable juice can be a key ingredient in a weight loss program.
However, there are certain juicing ingredients that are especially helpful to diabetics.
GREEN APPLE may help to slow carbohydrate digestion, slow glucose absorption, and stimulate the pancreas. Green apples are lower in sugar than red apples, but should still be used sparingly when juicing for diabetes.

CARROTS may help to stimulate and improve overall liver function, and may help reduce insulin resistance. Yes, carrots have quite a bit of sugar, so go easy on these.
CELERY may help to cleanse the digestive system of uric acid.
CRANBERRIES help to fight inflammation, and may be beneficial for those battling with diabetes.
FRENCH GREEN BEANS. Juice or eat at least 4 a day. French green beans are said to help prevent macular degeneration and reduce pressure in the eyes. If you have a garden, why not plant a 3 or 4 foot row, providing a trellis for them to climb on, from which you may gather a few fresh French green beans every day.
RED GRAPEFRUIT have antioxidants that may help to lower high blood sugar levels.
MILK THISTLE has long been recognized as being helpful for liver problems. But it also helps to slightly raise glutathione, the master anti-oxidant when juicing for diabetics.
RED ONIONS are very high in antioxidants, and may improve blood sugar balance.
RASPBERRIES may help to protect against macular degeneration. Raspberries have high levels of antioxidants that may help to reduce inflammation.
SPINACH has the antioxidant beta-carotene, an anti-inflammatory agent helpful to diabetics.
TOMATOES may help to keep blood sugar levels under control. They contain lycopene, an important antioxidant.
WATERMELON may help to lower blood pressure, important when juicing for diabetics.
The best source of vegetables for juicing is your own garden. Fresh vegetables have more biophotons, adding to their nutritional benefits. You can also grow more nutritious produce in your garden by feeding it with trace minerals, resulting in certain healing benefits.
Coconut oil becomes a liquid above 76 degrees, so keep a jar of coconut oil sitting on the stove. When you add coconut oil to your juice, drink it immediately, because if the juice cools the coconut oil will solidify.
